I believe a successful piece of fine art provokes thought… be it controversial or confirming; and/or it provokes emotion… be it joy, sorrow or any number of feelings. As the viewer is able to interact with the piece, either by simple enjoyment, or perhaps a more intellectual exchange, stimulation occurs. When this happens the physical piece of art has served its profound purpose in our lives.
