David Farmer's oil paintings of landscapes and townscapes illustrate his use of color as an emotional language that conveys a pulsating energy. "There is no intent to try and paint 'scenery' or a photographic image of reality. The intent is to transform the energy and mysterious nuances of nature to the canvas in a way interesting enough to compel the viewer to look at and into a work that invites contemplation; coaxing the eye to keep looking, always seeing more. It's a process of pursuing a strong impulse to become a deeper part of something- a place, an atmosphere, a mood - to posses in another way."
